Kèr Qamhíhp (/qam/ /hɪ̞p/ [bank] [serial]) is a subtropical Town located in the Vātuchàjù Region of the Tetbur Commune.

The name Kèr Qamhíhp is derived from the Tauric language, as Kèr Qamhíhp was founded by Bé̄̄̌s Yaw̄shī 'Mango Aplenty' Vúónḱ Raw̋g Yóó̄ Qíhgā, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Kèr Qamhíhp has a yearly average temperature of 28°C (82°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 32°C (89°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 25°C (77°F). Kèr Qamhíhp receives an average of 226 cm/y (88 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Kèr Qamhíhp covers an area of nearly 6 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 2854 m (9363 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Kèr Qamhíhp was founded durring the early 15th century in summer of the year 1401, by Bé̄̄̌s Yaw̄shī 'Mango Aplenty' Vúónḱ Raw̋g Yóó̄ Qíhgā. The establishment of Kèr Qamhíhp suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Kèr Qamhíhp was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 15th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kèr Qamhíhp is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Kèr Qamhíhp is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of premissive canals streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. Astonishigly, the millitarily questionable fortifications are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.

Kèr Qamhíhp has the unmistakable air of a town on its last legs. Everything is a bit slipshod and ramshackle. Everyone is at work, or drinking. No one has anything in their eyes other than fear and despair. Kèr Qamhíhp ’s existence was once fed by scholarly pursuits. But the income once drawn in by the works of scribes and academics has dried up and the town is drifting down the stream of history as it dries up. Everywhere about the town one can see abandoned schools, libraries, and other academic structures. Locals can be overheard having academic discussions, as well as talking about scholarly subjects in general. It’s quite clear the town places a lot of value on education and being a learned individual. Even in these times.

Civic Infrastructure

Kèr Qamhíhp has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Kèr Qamhíhp. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Kèr Qamhíhp's parks.

Kèr Qamhíhp has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Kèr Qamhíhp.

Kèr Qamhíhp has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Kèr Qamhíhp's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Kèr Qamhíhp has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Kèr Qamhíhp's natural decorations nor waterways.

Cultural Notes

Kèr Qamhíhp's mayor's house was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is best known for its striking sculptural forms and often dazzling ornamental detail that characterizes the buildings general shape. The radiant colors, rich patterns, and symmetrical silhouettes employed by this style were backed up by rich decorative features including gardens, courtyards, extruded arches, domes, pointed domes, vaulted ceilings, elaborate painted and inlaid designs, and decorative sculptures.
